UNIFORM
All scouts (youth & adults) must have a full uniform.  The Class A is mandatory on all meeting/outings/campouts.

The troop always travels in full Class A uniform.

CLASS A

  • Scout shirt  (tan , same as the Webelos shirt)
  • Scout pants (dark green)
  • and the exclusive Troop 73 neckerchief (with our logo)
  •
  •

    CLASS B

Class B is t-shirt with any BSA logo/image. (webelos shirts are included)   This is used for more relaxed scouting events; camp/service events/etc.

We design and print our own Troop 73 class B shirts every year for summer camp:  TROOP  T-SHIRTS

    UNIFORM STORAGE

NOTE:  DO NOT  lay your uniform 'parts' in different places. (shirt, neckerchief, slide)

Something will get lost and custom neckerchiefs are not cheap.

    Instead follow this scout hack:

    1. Put the neckerchief slide into the shirt pocket

    2. Slide the neckerchief under the epaulette

This keeps the entire uniform intact

        DUES

Each scout brings $1 each week to the meeting.  You must EARN the dollar by means of a chore or some help provided.

NOTE: We won’t start collecting dues until in-person meetings resume.

       HANDBOOK

The scout handbook should be brought to every meeting/campout.

Fill out the Owner page, just inside the front cover.  (boxes for Name, troop, etc.)  Scouts will lay the book down and forget it, so we need to know who’s book it is.

Review the back of the book.  Where to fill in: campouts, merit badges, service hrs, etc.

The book has all rank requirements in the back where these will get signed off by a leader when completed.  This book is his permanent record.  Do not lose it.

We now have Scoutbook online where these reqs can be recorded thus keeping his progress safe if the book is lost.

       CELL PHONES

Scouts are not permitted cell phones on any campouts.  Adults have them.  Campouts are for scouting.
