Total Eclipse DAY TRIP

MISSION:    Monday 21  TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE event

The troop will watch from the church parking lot.  Eclipse begins 1pm Eastern.  

Pizza will be served

On MONDAY, we will DEPART AT 6 AM and travel to west Ky to Eden Bay at Land Between the Lakes on the east side of the lake (map) 

Monday we will visit the lake and watch a once in a lifetime event solar eclipse that will start at 12 noon local CDT.  Totality begins at 1:25pm and will last 2 min, 30sec.

We will depart for home afterwards at 145ish, and arrive home around 6pm.

Since this happens on a Monday during school, your scout may have to inform his school of the trip and the reason.

This is a rare event for our area and should be witnessed by all. 

The next total eclipse in Ky occurs in 2024.

**  ELECTRONIC DEVICES MAY BE ALLOWED ON TRIP.   (gameboys, DVD players, phones)

NOTICE!!
Sheath, butterfly, and survival type knives, etc. are not allowed on
the reservation. IF brought, the Scoutmaster should hold them until the Scout returns home. 

All fuel (propane, white gas) must be checked in and held by an adult until it is needed. Only adult leaders should handle fuel.
