Camping Operations Order:

Mission :   WHITEWATER RAFTING TRIP  Sat  SEP  18-19    

"Water dissolving, water removing.  There is water at the bottom of the ocean..."  -T.H.

We will travel down to Cumberland Falls  Saturday morning  ,meet at 8:30am at the church, depart at 9am ,do some hiking  and take class Saturday evening, then hit the water on Sunday.

We would do the classroom on the afternoon/evening of the 18th (4:30 PM or so) and then do rafting on the 19th from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or so followed by the written exam.

We will bunk in the lodge/bunkhouse so no need for tents.

 

Prerequisite for earning the Whitewater merit badge is you must have already earned CANOEING or KAYAKING    

BUT you DON'T need them to go on the trip.

NOTICE!!
Sheath, butterfly, and survival type knives, etc. are not allowed on
the reservation. IF brought, the Scoutmaster should hold them until the Scout returns home. 

All fuel (propane, white gas) must be checked in and held by an adult until it is needed. Only adult leaders should handle fuel.

In a plastic bag – bring the clothes you will change into after travel (we will leave ALL uniform pieces – including Scout socks on the bus so we can travel home in clean uniforms).
